UK Community and Voluntary Sector
Communityweb is a new service that provides a set of links to news relevant to the community and voluntary sector which is compiled weekly. The UK URBAN Network Coordinator edits the community development list. You can also create a free web page here, and search a large database of community and voluntary sector sites on any topic you choose.
Development Trusts Association has a monthly newsletter you can subscribe to which is packed full of useful information for community groups.
BLINK is an excellent site about issues affecting black and
minority ethnic groups in the U.K. It has a number of useful
reports, including 'Inclusive'
strategies for race and gender in urban
regeneration
Partnerships Online is another good site to check regularly. You can join their discussion list to get regular e-mail messages about issues to do with partnership. They also have a game you can play to helpbuild your understanding of how Internet technology can help build communities.
The Site is an enormous umbrella site for resources for young people on the web. Go to BritKid for a game about young people and race, as well as useful information.
Social Enterprise London provides a list of inspiring case studies from both the UK and abroad, as well as a discussion paper 'towards a working defination of community economic development' and an overview of relevant European funding.
