Young Mothers Training Course - Bristol Community Education Service (ESF) |

| This project was a 10 week (80 hour) pre-vocational course for young mothers (aged 16-25), and young women within the age range who were pregnant were also encouraged to attend. The course aimed to support young mothers in identifying and addressing their basic skills needs, making plans for the future, raising their self-esteem, confidence, and identifying routes through training and education.
The curriculum included: communication skills, numeracy skills, working in a group, and IT skills. Participants have gained up to 4 OCN credits at an Entry Level, Level 1 or Level 2, or a mixture of levels. A crèche provision was also provided to assist local people.
