Pathways to Work - Future West (ESF)
Pathways to work has provided customised employment support to unemployed URBAN area residents over the age of 25, with the main aim of getting individuals into quality 'sustainable' jobs. This included guidance, vocational training and work placements.

Eligible clients were recruited, given an in depth interview and assessment then depending on need and aspiration offered a suitable work placement, and/or a range of follow on support and guidance. (This included debt counselling, homelessness/alcohol/drug advice and guidance on mental health/disability). Whilst on their work placement clients followed structured training plans and were given regular guidance and support (including job search/ matching) designed to lead to positive outcomes.

At the completion of this project during December 2000 it had provided guidance and advice to 68 people.  Created 2 jobs and trained 55 people.
